Lok Sabha Election 2024 Phase 3: Genelia, Riteish Deshmukh Cast Their Votes In Latur
Today, the third phase of the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 is happening in 93 Lok Sabha areas spread across 11 states and Union Territories. A total of 1,331 candidates are competing in this phase, according to the Elections Commission of India. Voting is taking place from 7 AM to 6 PM.
Popular Bollywood couple Genelia and Riteish Deshmukh cast their votes at a polling station in Latur, Maharashtra. Before voting, actress Genelia Deshmukh shared her thoughts with ANI. "This is an important day and I think everyone should cast their votes today," she said.

Her husband, who is also a Bollywood actor, says, "I came to Latur from Mumbai to cast my vote. Everyone should come out of their houses and cast votes. Today is an important day. Everyone should definitely vote..."
They got married in a traditional Maharashtrian ceremony on February 3, 2012, followed by a Christian wedding the next day. They have two sons, Riaan and Rahyl. They have worked together in several films from 2003 onwards. To name a few, 'Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya,' 'Tujhe Meri Kasam,' 'Ved' and many more.
The first two phases of elections took place on April 19 and 26. After the third phase concludes today, the fate of over 283 Lok Sabha seats will be decided. This means that elections for more than half of the 543 Lok Sabha seats will be completed in the first three phases.
Voting will wrap up in Gujarat, Goa, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu today. Additionally, with 14 seats voting in this phase, all 28 seats of Karnataka will also finish voting today. Furthermore, with seven seats voting today, the Lok Sabha Election for 11 seats of Chhattisgarh will also conclude.
In addition to these, seats in the third phase include four in Assam, five in Bihar, seven in Chhattisgarh, nine in Madhya Pradesh, 11 in Maharashtra, 10 in Uttar Pradesh, and four in West Bengal.
The remaining phases are scheduled for May 13, May 20, May 25, and June 1. Vote counting for all seven phases of Lok Sabha Elections will occur on June 4.
