After decades-long efforts by several saffron leaders and Ram Bhakats, the grand and formal opening of the Ram Mandir (Ram Temple) is set to take place in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. The Ram Mandir Trust has announced January 22, 2024, as the auspicious date for the inaugural ceremony. Ram Mandir Preist (Pandit) has fixed 12:20 pm as the shubh muhurat for the ceremony. Ram Janmabhoomi is considered a sacred location believed to be the birthplace of Lord Rama, who is revered as the seventh incarnation of the Hindu deity Vishnu.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will play a significant role in the event as 'Mukhya Yajman' (the person who performs all rituals) in the temple's inauguration and Pran-Prathishthan (Placing) of Lord Rama's Idol. Along with the prime minister, 8,000 invitees, including UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, RSS Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat, Leaders of national political parties, Religious fronts (Akhadas) and other eminent guests have been invited for the ceremony.

The preparations for the Ram Mandir's inauguration involved many arrangements to ensure a grand event including:
Rituals and Ceremonies: Arrangements for various religious rituals, prayers, and consecration ceremonies by Vedic traditions and customs have been planned.
Security Measures: Stringent security arrangements have been made keeping the safety of eminent dignitaries and attendees in mind. For the Ram Mandir security, forces, CCTVs, and drones have been deployed.
Infrastructure and Facilities: Provision of adequate infrastructure such as seating arrangements, pathways, sanitation facilities, and other amenities for the convenience of attendees and guests.
