Karnataka assembly elections 2023: Congress to dethrone BJP with 129-134 seats, predicts pre-poll survey
With just a few days left for polling day, a pre-poll survey conducted by 'Lok Poll' has predicted that the Congress party will regain power in the upcoming Karnataka assembly election 2023. The third and final survey indicated that Congress had improved its position from similar survey made in the month of February and BJP has gone down further in numbers.

The opinion poll by 'Lok Poll', based on survey of 15000 respondents across various districts of the state, predicted that the Congress will win 129-134 seats. The BJP is expected to get 59-65 seats while JDS is predicted to get 23-28 seats and others might get 0-2 seats.
The survey forecast a 30-32 per cent vote share for the BJP while Congress expected to garner a marginally higher vote share of 42-45 per cent. A higher vote share for Congress with BJP bagging largest share of seats has been defining feature in the three of the last four assembly elections in the state.
The third and final election survey is broadly in line with the earlier opinion poll published in April except for hinting at a slight decline in the prospects of ruling JD(S).
Voting for the 224 assembly seats in the state will take place on May 10 and the results will be out on May 13.
