Kanpur: NEET Aspirant Allegedly Raped, Blackmailed By Two Coaching Centre Teachers
In a distressing incident from Kanpur, a young girl, who had moved to the city with aspirations to crack the NEET medical entrance exam, became a victim of sexual abuse and blackmail by two tutors from a well-regarded coaching institute.
The ordeal began in January when her biology teacher, 32-year-old Sahil Siddiqui, lured her to his apartment under the guise of a student party, only for her to discover she was the sole attendee.

Siddiqui then assaulted her, recorded the act, and used the footage to blackmail her into silence.
The abuse didn't stop there; Siddiqui, leveraging threats against her family, forced her into attending more gatherings at his place, where she was further violated by her 39-year-old chemistry teacher, Vikas Porwal.
The abuse came to light when one of the perpetrators, previously apprehended for a similar offense, was caught on CCTV molesting another student.
This incident, which gained major attention, empowered the survivor to step forward and share her harrowing experience with the authorities.
Both Siddiqui and Porwal have since been arrested, shedding light on the grave dangers lurking in places meant to be safe learning environments.
Assistant Commissioner of Police, Abhishek Pandey, confirmed the arrests and stated, "The student told us she was raped by the accused on separate occasions. A case has been registered and the two men have been arrested and are being questioned. The student was a minor at the time and has requested us not to share too many details."
The survivor's plight began when she traveled to Kanpur in 2022 to join a coaching center to prepare for her NEET examination. It was there she fell into the trap laid by Siddiqui and Porwal.
The situation escalated around Holi when Siddiqui coerced her to return to Kanpur from her home, threatening harm to her family if she did not comply.
Eventually, a video of Siddiqui engaging in inappropriate behavior with another student surfaced online and led to his brief detention.
His release on bail coincided with the survivor finding the strength to report her ordeal, which resulted in the registration of a first information report (FIR) against both teachers, who were apprehended the same night.
