Jumboking Pays Tribute To Atul Subhash, A Heartfelt Gesture That’s Gone Viral

Atul Subhash's tragic suicide has deeply affected the nation, sparking widespread calls for justice. People across the country have participated in candle marches and shared posts using the hashtag "#JusticeForAtulSubhash," demanding accountability. In a touching display of solidarity, a restaurant in Delhi, Jumboking, paid tribute to the Bengaluru techie by printing a heartfelt message on their bills. The gesture has gone viral on social media, with many praising the restaurant for such a thoughtful act.

Journalist and men's rights activist, Deepika Narayan Bhardwaj, shared a picture of the bill on X, formerly known as Twitter, urging people to thank Jumboking for their kind gesture. She wrote, "Everyone please join me in thanking Jumboking for this really kind gesture of valuing the life of Atul Subhash and reminding everyone to do so as well." She also expressed, "Incredible ways in which Atul will perhaps change this society forever for the better," adding the hashtag "#JusticeForAtulSubhash" to her post.

The message on the bill reads, "We deeply mourn the suicide of the techie Atul Subhash. His life was just as important as everyone else's. RIP brother. We hope you finally found peace on the other side."

Bhardwaj's post gained significant attention, with over 3.7 lakh views and more than 22,000 likes. Many users took to the comments to express their admiration for Jumboking's tribute. One person wrote, "Great initiative - his memory deserves to remain alive in our hearts and consciousness! Hey Deepinder Goyal, Zomato, and Swiggy, why not take similar steps?" Another commented, "Wow. That's incredible. Owner of Jumboking - thank you for taking a stand." A third added, "Honoring Atul's legacy through such meaningful acts inspires hope for a kinder world."

The case surrounding Atul Subhash's suicide has also garnered significant attention. In a 90-minute video and a 24-page suicide note, Subhash accused his wife and in-laws of harassment. His brother, Bikas Kumar, filed a complaint with the Bengaluru police, which led to an FIR naming four individuals under sections 108 and 3(5) of the BNS. Subhash's in-laws reportedly fled to Uttar Pradesh, fearing arrest. Nikita Singhania, Subhash's estranged wife, was arrested in Gurugram, while her mother, Nisha Singhania, and brother, Anurag Singhania, were apprehended in Prayagraj on charges of abetting Subhash's suicide.

The three accused were brought to Bengaluru and presented before a local court, which remanded them to 14 days of judicial custody. Nikita's uncle, Sushil Singhania, who was also named in the FIR, was granted anticipatory bail by the Allahabad High Court. Meanwhile, Subhash's family has sought custody of their 4-year-old grandson, who is currently staying with a relative.
