JP Nadda Launches Strong Attack on Congress Chief Mallikarjun Kharge - Here's Why!
War of Letters
In a fierce response to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, BJP National President JP Nadda has criticised Kharge's recent letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Kharge expressed 'concern and disappointment' over comments against Rahul Gandhi, Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha. Nadda described Kharge's correspondence as an attempt to 'polish' a political brand that has repeatedly faced rejection from the public.

Nadda's Rebuttal
In his counter letter, JP Nadda accused Mallikarjun Kharge of either forgetting or deliberately ignoring the 'misdeeds' of Congress leaders, including Rahul Gandhi. He lamented that the oldest political party in India has devolved into a 'copy & paste' entity under pressure from its leadership.
Addressing Kharge's Concerns
Kharge had raised alarms about remarks made by Union minister Ravneet Bittu, who referred to Rahul Gandhi as a 'number one terrorist,' and a viral comment from Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Gaikwad that placed a bounty on Gandhi's tongue. Kharge emphasised that such violent rhetoric poses a significant threat to Indian democracy and values.
Abusive Language?
Nadda highlighted the 'hypocrisy' he perceives in Kharge's defence of Rahul Gandhi, stating that Congress leaders have used derogatory language against Prime Minister Modi over 110 times in the past decade. He underscored that this pattern of behaviour illustrates a troubling trend within the Congress party.
Questioning Congress's Integrity
Nadda's letter avoided addressing Rahul Gandhi's controversial statements on issues like Jammu and Kashmir. He accused the Congress party of inciting divisions and glorifying anti-national sentiments while claiming to uphold the dignity of political discourse.
Calls for Political Accountability
In his letter, Kharge urged Prime Minister Modi to instil discipline within his party and its allies, seeking strict action against inflammatory remarks. Nadda's response, however, suggests that he believes Congress is projecting its own failings onto the BJP.
Continuing Political Battle
The exchange of letters highlights the ongoing battle for public perception and political legitimacy. With both parties trading accusations, the discourse surrounding political language and accountability continues to intensify in India's charged political landscape.
