JMM-Led Alliance Confidently Prepares to Contest All 81 Seats in Jharkhand Assembly Elections
Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren announced that the JMM-led alliance plans to contest all 81 seats in the forthcoming assembly elections. Following a central committee meeting of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), Soren expressed confidence in their electoral readiness and assured that the alliance aims to regain power in the state. The assembly elections are expected to be declared soon, with the current Vidhan Sabha term ending on January 5, 2025.

During the meeting, Soren stated, "I participated in the JMM central committee meeting today along with all other workers and executive committee members. We reviewed our election preparedness and we are confident of winning the assembly elections. The JMM-led alliance will contest all the 81 seats." This reflects their commitment to a comprehensive electoral strategy.
Alliance Strategy and Past Success
Kalpana Soren, a JMM legislator and Hemant Soren's wife, expressed confidence in their victory. She highlighted that they were elected in 2019 despite facing a double engine government in the state. This history of overcoming challenges boosts their optimism for the upcoming elections.
The JMM's approach contrasts with that of the opposition BJP, which Soren criticised for merely making announcements without executing welfare schemes. The JMM-led alliance, on the other hand, focuses on implementing initiatives that benefit the public.
Empowering Women and Organisational Strength
Rajya Sabha MP Mahua Majhi highlighted JMM's efforts to empower women through various initiatives. She contrasted this with the previous BJP regime, which faced criticism over issues related to women's trafficking. These initiatives underscore JMM's commitment to addressing social issues.
The central committee meeting also focused on organisational strength and membership campaigns in preparation for the elections. This strategic planning is crucial for mobilising support and ensuring a robust electoral presence across constituencies.
Leadership and Candidate Selection
The JMM stated that central president Shibu Soren and executive president Hemant Soren were authorised by the central committee to manage constituency divisions with alliance partners. They are also responsible for selecting party candidates, ensuring a strategic approach to candidate placement.
This authorisation highlights the leadership's role in steering the party towards electoral success by making informed decisions on alliances and candidate selection.
The JMM-led alliance's comprehensive strategy, focus on welfare schemes, empowerment initiatives, and strong organisational framework position them as formidable contenders in the upcoming assembly elections. Their past successes and current preparations reflect their determination to secure victory once again.
