Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren Wants To Turn Ranchi Into Karachi: Giriraj Singh
Union Minister Giriraj Singh has accused the JMM-Congress coalition in Jharkhand of attempting to transform Ranchi into Karachi. He also claimed that other districts like Dumka, Deoghar, and Sahibganj are being turned into Bangladesh. Singh urged voters to focus on women's safety and prevent the division of votes among the majority community.
Singh criticised Congress leaders for their divisive rhetoric, alleging that they remain silent on religious conversions in Bihar. He emphasised the need for action against preachers involved in such activities in districts like Buxar, Motihari, Begusarai, and Lakhisarai. "It is quite surprising that RJD and Congress leaders are maintaining a stoic silence over the conversion activities being carried out by missionaries," he said.

Focus on Women's Safety
The Union Textiles Minister addressed reporters in Patna, urging Jharkhand residents to prioritise women's safety when voting. "Hemant Soren and Congress want to turn Ranchi into Karachi, and Dumka, Deoghar and Sahibganj districts into Bangladesh. The Congress and its allies want to divide us. I urge people, a day before the final phase of polling in Jharkhand, to vote for the safety of their 'bahu-beti'," he said.
As the second phase of polling approaches for 38 assembly seats in Jharkhand on Wednesday, Singh's comments have stirred political tensions. He accused Congress and its allies of attempting to divide people through what he termed as 'vote-jihad'. Singh warned against allowing this division among the majority community's votes.
Criticism of Congress Leaders
When questioned about Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge's remarks comparing BJP and RSS to "poison", Singh responded critically. "Although he is a puppet in the Congress, he should not use such unparliamentary and derogatory words. In fact, Congress leaders use poisonous words in their speeches with a motive to divide the voters into communal lines," Singh stated.
Kharge had made these comments during a rally in Sangli, Maharashtra. He described BJP and RSS as politically dangerous entities akin to poison. His statement included a metaphor about poisonous snakes causing harm if they bite.
Singh's allegations highlight ongoing political tensions between parties ahead of crucial elections. His remarks reflect concerns over religious conversions and divisive politics within Bihar and Jharkhand.
