In a major political move, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has allocated portfolios among the newly appointed ministers in his government. The cabinet expansion consolidates power within the coalition after their significant electoral victory.
The newly formed cabinet consists of 12 ministers, including the Chief Minister, with key positions distributed among the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), Congress, and the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD).

Here's the list of ministers and their respective portfolios:

In the coalition formed after the Jharkhand Assembly elections, the JMM secured 34 seats out of the 43 it contested, with Congress winning 16 seats. The RJD, which secured four seats, was allocated one ministerial berth. The cabinet formation took place following the victory of the JMM-led coalition, which steamrolled the BJP-led NDA in the elections.
The allocation of portfolios also saw some controversy after an internal letter detailing Congress' preferred portfolio assignments was leaked, prompting the Chief Minister to make last-minute changes. Despite this issue, the formation of the cabinet marks a significant moment in consolidating power and preparing for governance in the state.
