Indo-Pak border to be sealed by December 2018, says Rajnath Singh
Jaisalmer, Oct 7: Union Home Minister, Rajnath Singh on Friday said that the Indo-Pak border will be sealed by December 2018. The announcement was made after a meeting with Chief Ministers.
The meeting was held with the Chief Ministers of four bordering states to review the security situation along the border in the wake of escalating tensions with Pakistan.

Singh said at Jaisalmer that Chief Ministers had given their suggestions. "We will move towards sealing the border with Pakistan completely by 2018 December," he also said.
The home minister is on a two-day visit to review the security along the Western Border. Singh is also expected to visit the outposts along the border during his visit.

Meanwhile, the Intellgence Bureau has told the government about a build up of forces by Pakistan. The IB reported that Pakistan is building troops along the border as they anticipate a strike by India.
Further the report also says that there has been a considerable amount of security that has been stepped in major cities such as Lahore. Indian army, on the other hand, has already reported five ceasefire violations by Pakistan in the past week.
