ICAI Announces Postponement Of 2025 Exams In Jammu And Punjab Amid Flooding

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced the postponement of the 2025 ICAI Exams for Final and Intermediate courses in Jammu and Punjab. This decision affects candidates planning to take these exams, which were originally scheduled for September 3 and 4, 2025. The delay is due to continuous rainfall and flooding in these regions.

Exams have been deferred in specific cities including Amritsar, Bathinda, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Mandi Gobindgarh, Pathankot, Patiala, Sangrur in Punjab, and Jammu City. Candidates can find the official notice regarding this postponement on ICAI's website at icai.org.

Exam Schedule Remains Unchanged Elsewhere

While the exams in Punjab and Jammu are postponed, the schedule remains unchanged for other locations. According to an announcement made on May 30, 2025, the Final course exam for Group 1 will occur on September 3, 6, and 8. Group 2 exams are set for September 10, 12, and 14.

The Intermediate course exam dates are also unaffected outside the affected areas. Group 1 exams will be held on September 4, 7, and 9. Meanwhile, Group 2 exams are scheduled for September 11, 13, and 15. Candidates should refer to ICAI's website for any further updates.

Exam Duration Details

For those taking Paper – 6 of the Final Examination, it will last four hours. All other exams have a duration of three hours each. Additionally, candidates will receive an extra fifteen minutes to read through their question papers before starting.
