Here's What Tejashwi Yadav Said On DMK MP Dayanidhi Maran's Toilet Remark

Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav condemned DMK MP Dayanidhi Maran's remarks about Hindi speakers from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. The row was triggered after BJP Spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla tweeted Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) MP Dayanidhi Maran's video, in which, he can be heard saying Hindi speakers from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar do construction work or cleaning roads and toilets in Tamil Nadu.

Commenting on the viral video, Tejashwi Yadav said without the people of Bihar, other states would cease to function and come to a standstill.

"If any leader of that party has said something about the people of UP and Bihar, then it is condemnable. We do not agree with it. The laborers from UP and Bihar are demanded all over the country. If they stop going elsewhere, then states will cease to function and come to a standstill," RJD's Tejashwi Yadav said.

"If he had said that people of a particular community are cleaning gutters, then it would have made sense. Why should people of a particular community should clean? But he is saying that people of Bihar and UP are coming to clean gutters, it is condemnable... Leaders of all parties should refrain from making such statements," Yadav added.

Commenting on Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) member's video statement, BJP National Spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla comes out all guns blazing at the opposition stating "People of Bihar are forced to go there because of the condition of the state under Nitish Kumar, who is a member of their INDIA alliance."

"Will Nitish Kumar, Tejashwi Yadav, Lalu Yadav, Congress, SP Akhilesh Yadav all pretend that this isn't happening? When will they take a stand?" Poonawalla asked.

This was not the first incident when a DMK leader used such words for the people of Hindi-speaking states. Earlier, DMK MP Senthil Kumar said the BJP can win only in states where people drink Gaumutra. Later, he apologized for his statement and expressed regret.
