Haryana Govt Reserves 3% Quota For Sportspersons In Group C Posts
According to a letter from the Chief Secretary’s Office, these posts will be advertised only for the mentioned departments.
The Haryana government has decided to give a 3 per cent separate quota in Group C posts to outstanding and eligible sportspersons. This quota will be managed by the Department of Sports and Youth Affairs. They will send a demand to the HSSC for a separate recruitment drive for these sportspersons.

This quota will apply to several departments, including Home, Sports, School Education, Elementary Education, Jails, Forest and Wildlife, and Power. The number of posts will be 3 per cent of the total Group C posts recruited by the HSSC each year.
According to a letter from the Chief Secretary’s Office, these posts will be advertised only for the mentioned departments. Outstanding sportspersons will get first priority under the Haryana Outstanding Sportspersons Service Rules, 2021.
Once outstanding sportspersons are appointed, any remaining posts under this quota will be filled by eligible sportspersons. The Department of Sports will prepare a separate roster register for these posts as per existing instructions from the Haryana government.
The department will also send a demand to the HSSC for recruitment through a selection process. Only outstanding and eligible sportspersons can apply for these posts. An eligible sportsperson (ESP) is someone who has obtained a sports gradation certificate of Grade C or above.
This certificate must be under the notification dated May 25, 2018, or as amended from time to time by the Department of Sports, Haryana.
