Haryana govt to provide laptops to students
Chandigarh, May 24: Laptops would be given to the top 500 students securing 95 per cent or above marks in Class X examinations conducted by state, Education Minister Ram Bilas Sharma today said.
A provision of Rs 2 crore has been provided for the purpose in budget of the year 2016-17, he said.

Sharma said that in order to further improve the quality of education in Haryana, an ambitious initiative known as 'Learning Enhancement Programme' (LEP) has been implemented in 3,222 primary schools.
Under this programme, 18,000 teachers have been imparted training.
He said that monthly tests programme has been initiated for classes I to Class XII to improve the education level of students and it is also reviewed online.
