In a heart-wrenching incident, a bus caught fire after colliding with a dumper in Guna district of Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday night, resulting in the loss of 12 lives and severe burn injuries to 14 others. The private bus met with a head-on collision with the dumper on the Guna-Aaron road, leading to a devastating inferno that engulfed the vehicle.

Immediate Response and Medical Attention
Swift action was taken by the authorities as the injured were promptly rushed to the Guna district hospital for immediate medical attention. The Superintendent of Police for Guna district confirmed the tragic news, reporting that twelve bus passengers lost their lives in the fire, while fourteen others sustained critical injuries.
Details of the Incident
The ill-fated bus was en route to Aaron when it encountered the dumper traveling towards Guna. The collision occurred at approximately 9 pm, causing the bus to catch fire. According to police reports, there were around 30 passengers on board at the time of the incident. Remarkably, four passengers managed to escape the burning bus and return home.
Official Response and Assistance
The Guna collector, Tarun Rathi, assured that a thorough investigation into the incident is underway. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav expressed deep sorrow and announced financial assistance of Rs 4 lakh each to the families of the deceased and Rs 50,000 each to the injured individuals. Additionally, the chief minister ordered a comprehensive probe into the accident to ascertain the exact cause and prevent similar tragedies in the future.
Condolences and Support
Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia took to Twitter to express his grief and offer support. He described the incident as "painful" and revealed that he had spoken to the collector and SP, directing them to initiate immediate relief and rescue operations. Minister Scindia also conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased passengers.
