Gujarat Cabinet Ministers List 2025: Who Gets What Ministry In Bhupendra Patel Govt?

In a major reshuffle, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has expanded his council of ministers, adding 19 new members while retaining six from the previous team. This move brings the total strength of the cabinet to 26 ministers, including Patel himself. Among the new faces is Rivaba Jadeja, wife of cricketer Ravindra Jadeja, while Harsh Sanghavi has been promoted to Deputy Chief Minister.

The swearing-in ceremony, conducted by Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat, took place in Gandhinagar. This cabinet restructuring comes two years ahead of the 2027 state assembly elections and just months before the local body polls.

Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel will oversee major departments including General Administration, Administrative Reforms and Training, Planning, and Revenue & Disaster Management. He also retains control over Roads and Buildings, Mines and Minerals, Ports, Information and Broadcasting, among others.

Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi has been assigned multiple portfolios such as Home, Police Housing, Jail, Border Security, Transport, Law and Justice. In addition, he will manage Sports and Youth Services along with Cultural Activities.

Kanubhai Mohanlal Desai takes charge of Finance, Urban Development, and Urban Housing, while Rushikesh Ganeshbhai Patel will handle Energy, Petrochemicals, Panchayat, and Rural Housing.
