Four coaches of Mumbai local train derail, 5 injured

Four coaches of a local train in Mumbai derailed near Mahim on Friday. Five people were reportedly injured in the incident.

Chairman of the Railway Board AK Mittal had tendered his resignation to Suresh Prabhu on Wednesday after Kaifiyat Express derailed in Auraiya, Uttar Pradesh. Mittal was facing flak after the Utkal Express derailment in Muzaffarnagar.

Mittal was on Sunday sent on leave after the prima facie evidence showed negligence on the part of maintenance staff as the reason why the Utkal Express derailed.
