FMGE December 2024: NMC Closes Eligibility Certificate Applications Tomorrow; Check Other Key Dates Inside
The National Medical Commission (NMC) will close the application window for eligibility certificates tomorrow. Candidates who have not yet applied can complete their application on the official NMC website at nmc.org.in/ActivitiWebClient/open/studentRaise.
Possession of an eligibility certificate is mandatory for candidates appearing for the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE). The exam, conducted by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS), is scheduled for January 12. Admit cards will be available from 8 January, and the results are expected to be released by February 12.
The NMC has issued an official notice highlighting the importance of this deadline. It states: "It may be noted that this is the last opportunity to apply for the Eligibility Certificates, and thereafter no further chance will be available to the candidates. Accordingly, all candidates are requested to submit applications after exercising due diligence and checking the requisite entries scrupulously before submission."
Applicants can track the status of their applications by emailing [email protected] or [email protected]. When enquiring, candidates must include their File Tracking Number, which is generated during the application process.
The FMGE question paper will have 300 multiple-choice questions divided into two sessions. Each session will consist of 150 questions to be completed in 150 minutes.
Additionally, each session will have timed sections. For example, if a session is divided into three sections-A, B, and C-candidates will answer 50 questions per section, with 50 minutes allocated to complete each section.
Candidates are urged to meet the application deadline to ensure their eligibility for the upcoming examination.
