Exit Poll Results For Jharkhand Elections 2024: When And Where To Watch Surveys LIVE Online
A total of 528 candidates are contesting in the second phase of the Jharkhand Assembly elections, which will cover 38 constituencies on November 20.
Initially, 634 candidates filed their nominations between October 22 and 29. However, after scrutiny, 74 nominations were rejected, and 32 candidates withdrew, leaving 528 contestants in the race, according to Chief Electoral Officer K. Ravi Kumar.

Among the constituencies, Dhanwar has the highest number of candidates with 24, while Deoghar has the lowest with just 7. In comparison, the 2019 elections saw 583 candidates vying for 38 seats in this phase.
The elections for Jharkhand's 81-member assembly are being held in two phases, on November 13 and November 20. In total, 1,211 candidates are contesting for all 81 seats. The first phase saw 683 candidates, including 73 women and one transgender individual, competing for 43 constituencies.

As the polling concludes, all eyes are on the results of closely watched elections. Exit poll results for all states are embargoed until 6 pm on November 20, as per the Election Commission's guidelines.
This restriction applies across all media formats-print, broadcast, and digital-and extends to political entities, polling agencies, and individuals involved in election-related activities. The measure ensures that voter decisions remain uninfluenced by early predictions or analyses.
Media organizations, polling networks, and social media platforms have been urged to comply with these directives, refraining from releasing exit poll results before the specified time. This is crucial to maintaining the fairness of the election process and safeguarding its credibility.
