Ek Hai Toh Safe Hai: PM Modi Slams Congress In Victory Speech; Says Maharashtra Rejected Divisive Politics

Hours after BJP-led Mahayuti clinched a landslide victory in Maharashtra, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed voters and party workers. In his speech at BJP Headquarters in New Delhi in pressence of BJP chief JP Nadda, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and other party officials, PM Modi said people of Maharashtra rejected Congress' negative campaigning.PM said Congress spreaded lies on altering the constitution, and played divisive identity politics. PM added that voters of Maharashtra prefered unity over division, which reflects the true national sentiments.

Modi further celebrated the BJP's triumph, noting that Maharashtra represents the sixth state to continuously elect the BJP for a third term, joining the ranks of Goa, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, and Madhya Pradesh. He pointed out the broad support for the BJP across various segments of the population, criticizing the Congress for failing to recognize the country's evolving political landscape.

Modi further said, the public's preference leans towards stability and nationalistic sentiments, areas where he believes the BJP excels.

"The voter does not want instability. The voter is with the nation first feeling," Modi asserted, underlining the electorate's priorities that favor national progress over political uncertainty. This statement indicates a shift in voter sentiment towards prioritizing national unity and development.

Modi's critique extended to the Congress party's inability to secure power independently, often resorting to alliances that, according to him, eventually disappoint their partners. He highlighted the situation in Uttar Pradesh where, in his view, allies managed to distance themselves from the Congress, preventing further political setbacks. Modi's remarks underscore the BJP's portrayal of Congress as a diminishing force in Indian politics, contrasting sharply with the BJP's consecutive successes in multiple states.
