Dry Days In Delhi, Haryana During Phase 6 Of Lok Sabha 2024 Elections
Due to Phase 6 of the Lok Sabha 2024 elections happening this Saturday, 25 May, all liquor stores across Delhi and Haryana have been closed for 48 hours. The dry day started yesterday at 6:00 PM, 23 May, and will last untill tomorrow 6:00 PM, 25 May.
In addition, liquor stores will also be closed on counting day for the Lok Sabha elections, that day being 4 June, 2024.

The Election Commission of India (ECI) has declared that all liquor shops should be closed for 48 hours both before and during the voting day, so as to make sure the voting day goes smoothly, impartially, and without incident.
Dry Day In Delhi:
The Delhi Excise Department put out a notice on 2 April, saying that dry days are to be observed 48 hours before polling ends for elections in Delhi. The notice also says that the state will experience a dry day on June 4th due to it being a counting day for the general elections of Lok Sabha, 2024. In addition, there may also be a dry day on 17 June due to Bakrid.
Dry Day In Haryana:
According to Haryana's Excise Policy of 2024-2025, liquor stores are to remain shut on important public holidays like Republic Day and Independence Day, as well as during any Parliamentary or State Assembly elections as per the directions of the Election Commission of India.
Phase 6 Of Lok Sabha 2024 Elections:
58 constituencies across eight states and union territories will conduct their polls on Saturday, 25 May. Voting will start at 7:00 AM in the morning and conclude at 6 PM in the evening, also ending the dry day with it.
If you have any plans to go out and party, it is advised to cancel those plans for this weekend in order to give your vote and make it a fair election.
