Dowry death: Woman set on fire by husband and his parents
A 24-year-old Parvinder Kaur succumbed to her injuries on Saturday after her husband and in-laws set her on fire in Vikaspuri of west Delhi. The woman was rushed to Safdarjung Hospital.

The police were able to record her statement during the last minutes of her life in which she alleged that she was set on fire by her husband and in-laws.
According to the victim's relatives there were regular demands of dowry from her husband's parents. A few days ago, her parents-in-law had demanded Rs 10 lakh, and when it was not met they forced her out of their house.
The woman was married to Gurcharan Singh in 2012. A case has been registered against the victim's husband, her father-in-law Rawel Singh (62), and brother-in-law Prabhjot Singh (25). However, they were later arrested and charged them for murder and conspiracy.
