Diwali cracker ban: What next, ban on Hindu cremations asks Tripura Governor
The verdict of the court came under severe criticism and posts alleging the beginning of Islamic rule trended on the social media.
Tripura Governor Tathagata Roy is known to be in the news. He has now kicked up a storm on the social media by stating soon there would be a ban on Hindu cremations.

His comments came in the aftermath of the Supreme Court order which banned the sale of firecrackers during Diwali in the National Capital Region.
First Dahi Handi, now crackers. You never know, tomorrow the award wapsi brigade and those carrying out candle marches might file a litigation against the last rites ritual of Hindus, too," he tweeted.
The verdict of the court came under severe criticism and posts alleging the beginning of Islamic rule trended on the social media. Chetan Bhagat too criticised the verdict and said that the ban was akin to banning Christmas trees on Christmas and slaughter of goats on Bakrid.
