Flagstaff Road Bungalow Dispute

The AAP government has been accused of engaging in a "devious and diabolic" scheme to mislead the public regarding the allocation of the 6, Flagstaff Road bungalow. The LG's office issued a statement on Saturday alleging that norms were subverted and facts concealed in this process. The statement also implicated CM Atishi in these actions.

The bungalow, previously occupied by Arvind Kejriwal during his nine-year tenure as Delhi's chief minister, has become a focal point of conflict involving AAP, BJP, and the LG office over its vacating and reallocation. Within just 48 hours of Kejriwal vacating it, Atishi was allotted the house, sparking further controversy.

Reactions from AAP

A statement from sources at the Delhi Chief Minister's Office (CMO) expressed disappointment over the LG office's allegations against the elected government. They described these comments as abusive and unfounded. According to them, "The AAP government is busy working on a war footing to revive and fix all the works stopped by the LG in the last few months."

The Secretariat also mentioned that political motives were attributed to LG Saxena, claiming he was "abused" amid these allegations. They emphasised that such statements are not worth responding to given their nature.

This ongoing dispute highlights significant friction between Delhi's ruling party and administrative authorities over governance issues. As tensions persist, both sides continue to present differing narratives regarding recent developments.
