Delhi Air Quality: Minister Gopal Rai Announces Ban On Sale, Use Of Firecrackers In Capital Till January 1

In a bid to curb air pollution, the Delhi government has prohibited the production, sale, and use of firecrackers in the city for the upcoming winter season. This measure aims to address the severe air quality issues that typically worsen during this period.

The ban also extends to online sales and deliveries of firecrackers. Rai mentioned that this prohibition is part of a broader winter action plan comprising 21 focus points designed to tackle pollution effectively. The ban will remain effective until January 1, 2025, as part of these extensive measures.

"The ban on the production, storage, sale and use of firecrackers will remain in force till January 1, 2025," Rai stated. This initiative is crucial for improving air quality during the winter months when pollution levels typically spike.
