CRPF officer shoots self using AK-47 rifle in Odisha
In yet another shocking incident, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) sub-inspector shot himself dead using his service weapon, an AK-47 rifle on Tuesday in Odisha's Raighar district.

The deceased sub-inspector was identified as Sunil Kumar who was serving as 2IC in the CRPF's 4th Battalion.
Sunil, a native of Bihar, was residing at the CRPF camp in Indira Nagar in Rayagada district for the last 2 years.
While the officer was suspected to have committed suicide, the reason as behind this extreme step is yet to be ascertained.
"A Central Reserve Police Force officer died allegedly by suicide by shooting himself with an AK-47 rifle in the bathroom of his office in Raighar, Odisha, today morning. The officer was identified as Sunil Kumar," ANI quoted police as saying.
According to reports, Rayagada SP and senior police officials along with a scientific team rushed to the site.
Meanwhile, the police have launched an investigation into his death.
