Cricket Legends Pay Obeisance At Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine
Former cricketers, including Suresh Raina, Harbhajan Singh, and S Sreesanth, participating in the ongoing Legends League T20 paid obeisance at the revered Mata Vaishno Devi shrine atop Trikuta hills in Reasi district.
On Tuesday, November 28th, former cricketers participating in the ongoing Legends League T20 in Jammu paid their respects at the revered Mata Vaishno Devi shrine atop Trikuta hills in the Reasi district. The group of cricketers, which included Suresh Raina, Harbhajan Singh, and S Sreesanth, was welcomed by the Katra Sports Club upon their arrival in Katra. From there, they flew to Sanjichat and proceeded to the cave shrine.
Over 100 Former International Cricketers in Jammu

More than 100 former international cricketers are currently in Jammu as part of the second season of the Legends League T20. Among them are Gautam Gambhir, Mohammad Kaif, Irfan Pathan from India; Shane Watson and Aaron Finch from Australia; Tilakarante Dilshan from Sri Lanka; Chris Gayle from the West Indies; Hashim Amla and Morne Morkel from South Africa; Kevin Petersen from England; and Ross Taylor and Martin Guptill from New Zealand.
Cricketers Visit Bhairon Ghati
After paying obeisance at the Mata Vaishno Devi shrine, the cricketers visited Bhairon Ghati to pray at the Bhairon Baba Temple. They then returned to Jammu in the evening.
Suresh Raina Expresses Gratitude
Speaking to reporters in Katra before leaving for the cave shrine, Suresh Raina expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to visit the shrine. "I have come here to get the blessings of Mata Vaishno Devi. I am fortunate to get the opportunity to pay obeisance at the cave shrine," he said.
Harbhajan Singh Shares His Experience
Former India spinner Harbhajan Singh shared his experience of playing in Jammu, saying, "People are enthusiastic about the matches as they are being held here after many years. We loved playing here."
Legends League in Jammu
The Legends League reached Jammu on the third leg of the tournament to play a total of four matches in the city. The first match was played on Monday, and the remaining three matches will be played on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
The presence of these legendary cricketers in Jammu has generated a lot of excitement among the local cricket fans. The matches are being played at the picturesque Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association Stadium, which offers a stunning view of the Trikuta hills.
