Cops Do Nothing...: Ex MLA Anant Singh Accuses Police Of Lawlessness After Deadly Attack In Bihar
A violent altercation broke out in Mokama, Patna, involving former MLA Anant Kumar Singh and local criminals Sonu and Monu. The clash, which occurred on Wednesday evening, resulted in multiple rounds of gunfire. The conflict arose from a financial disagreement affecting Mukesh Kumar, a businessman in the area. Singh's supporters were reportedly attacked during the dispute, leading to retaliatory gunfire.
Financial Dispute Sparks Violence

Patna Rural SP Vikram Sihag explained that the incident began when Sonu and Monu assaulted Mukesh Kumar over unpaid dues. Singh's supporters attempted to mediate but were met with violence, escalating the situation to gunfire. The police have identified those involved and are actively searching for them.
Singh accused Sonu and Monu of being notorious criminals, claiming their father is a well-known dacoit who frequently carries weapons. He expressed frustration with the police, stating, "If the police had been taking action, I wouldn't have been worried... The police take money and do nothing... Sonu-Monu act like the police chief... I stand with the people... I don't care about any case against me."
Criminal Backgrounds of Sonu and Monu
Sonu and Monu are known for their criminal activities, including kidnapping, extortion, and train robberies. Their father also has a criminal history, adding to the tension in the region. Singh highlighted ongoing attacks by Sonu-Monu's gang whenever they raise concerns about lawlessness.
Singh further elaborated on the situation: "These kinds of attacks have been happening for months now. Every time we raise our voice, Sonu-Monu and their gang come out and create havoc. They believe they are above the law because the police look the other way. But the people have had enough of this lawlessness. We will not stay silent any longer. I am with the people, and together we will fight against this menace."
