Congress President Sonia Gandhi to address rally in Gulbarga

Gulbarga (Karnataka), Feb 1: Congress President Sonia Gandhi will be in Gulbarga today to launch the campaign for the Congress party for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Sonia reached Gulbarga on Saturday afternoon and inaugurated ESI hospital just hours before addressing a public rally here.

About two lakh people from different districts like Bidar, Gulbarga, Koppal, Bellary, and others are expected to be at the rally. She had last week addressed a rally in Bihar.

The Congress party is banking on her after she made constitutional intervention for the development of the region and also giving special status to the backward Hyderabad-Karnataka region after amending the Article 371.

Other Congress party members like KPCC President G Parameshwara, Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah, Digvijay Singh are expected to attend the rally.
