Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu Highlights Global Celebration of Christmas

During a semi-Christmas event organised by the Andhra Pradesh government, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu highlighted the global celebration of Christmas. He noted that this festival is observed worldwide for an entire month. Naidu emphasised the significance of Jesus Christ's birth, expressing hope for the saviour's grace to be upon everyone.

Naidu acknowledged the contributions of Christians in education, noting their establishment of institutions before India's Independence. He praised these institutions for imparting values like love, grace, and service inspired by Jesus Christ. The Chief Minister recalled that NT Rama Rao, the founder of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), attended AC College, a Christian institution in Guntur.

Christian Community Contributions

The Chief Minister also commended the Christian community for their significant contributions through hospitals. He urged people to emulate Christ's simplicity and sacrifice. Naidu announced plans to establish a Christian Missionaries Properties Development Board. Additionally, he promised financial support for restoring and constructing churches.

Naidu addressed the financial challenges facing Andhra Pradesh, mentioning severe financial issues and legacy problems. Despite serving as Chief Minister three times before, he admitted that his current term is particularly challenging. He attributed these difficulties to debts and flaws from previous YSRCP governments.

Naidu's remarks reflect his appreciation for the Christian community's role in education and healthcare. His commitment to supporting church infrastructure underscores his recognition of their contributions. The Chief Minister's comments also highlight ongoing efforts to address financial challenges in Andhra Pradesh.
