Chris Martin & Dakota Johnson Take A Holy Dip at Mahakumbh 2025—Watch Viral Video!
A fan's chance encounter with Coldplay's Chris Martin and his girlfriend, Dakota Johnson, at the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj has gone viral on social media. Bharat Chaudhary, the lucky fan, shared a heartwarming video on Instagram that captures the special moment he shared with the couple at the spiritual event.
In the video, Bharat and his partner are seen making their way to the sacred waters for a holy dip, when they coincidentally bump into Chris and Dakota, who are also participating in the ritual. Chris is dressed in black shorts, while Dakota wears a traditional kurta and trousers. The clip shows Chris respectfully offering a namaste to Bharat's partner, before joining in with closed eyes and folded hands to pray.

Bharat captioned the video, "When you can't attend a concert, the artist comes to you - at Kumbh Mela! I took a dip in the Sangam with none other than Chris Martin and Dakota, who followed every ritual with deep respect. Music has the power to unite, but faith can transcend even that." The video's caption also reads, "When you choose Kumbh over Coldplay, but Mahadev has other plans, and Coldplay comes to you!! Chris Martin wins for showing respect to Triveni Sangam and Kumbh!"
The video has garnered a lot of attention from fans, who are praising Chris for embracing Indian culture and traditions without hesitation. One fan commented, "Wow, nice! He's embracing culture and rituals as a British person, trying traditions without any hesitation." Another fan joked, "When you can't go to Coldplay, Coldplay comes to you!!" Many have called the video "one of the best reels of the year," and praised the unexpected crossover, saying "Chris Martin and Dakota at Kumbh?! A crossover we didn't know we needed, but definitely wanted!"
Chris and Dakota arrived in Prayagraj on January 27, dressed in saffron-colored attire, and spent time exploring the spiritual festival. The couple has been in India since January 16 for Coldplay's Music of the Spheres tour, which included concerts in Mumbai and Ahmedabad. Their final show in India took place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Republic Day, January 26.
