Change Of Heart? Smriti Irani Heaps Praises On Rahul Gandhi: 'His Politics Has Changed'

BJP leader and former Member of Parliament from Uttar Pradesh's Amethi Lok Sabha constituency Smriti Irani made a huge statement regarding the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi.

Irani said that Rahul Gandhi's politics has changed. He is now engaging in a different kind of politics. Whether you like it or not, it is different.

Smriti Irani discussed various issues in a journalist's podcast, Top Angle.

When asked about Rahul Gandhi, she said, "There has been a change in Rahul Gandhi's politics. He believes that he has tasted success."

What did Irani say about Rahul?

The BJP leader said, "He wears a white T-shirt in Parliament, and he knows what message he wants to convey to the younger generation. We should not be under the illusion that any of his actions... whether you find them good or bad, or whether they seem childish to you... he is now engaging in a different kind of politics."

Irani had defeated Rahul Gandhi in the 2019 elections from the Amethi seat. Since then, she has often launched scathing attacks on Rahul Gandhi and his family. Interestingly, Rahul has never reciprocated to her provocations.

When Congress avenged the 2014 defeat in the 2024 elections and Smriti Irani lost Amethi at the hands of Congress' Kishori Lal Sharma, she became a target on social media.

Following this, Rahul Gandhi came to her defence. Without naming Smriti, he criticised the trolling against her and said that winning and losing in elections is part of the process.
