Bihar Politics: How Is Chirag Paswan Navigating Amid Speculations Of Nitish Kumar Reuniting With The BJP?
Amid political uncertainty in Bihar, it was disclosed by former Lok Janshakti Party president Chirag Paswan today that he was "in constant touch with the top BJP leadership."
However, he termed the question of whether Chief Minister Nitish Kumar would be acceptable to him as a new NDA partner as "hypothetical."

Chirag Paswan Amid Bihar Crisis
While sharing his remark, Chirag Paswan, who had come to the Bihar capital on Thursday evening, stated that engagements in the state had been "cancelled" to hold deliberations over the "crucial next few days" in Delhi, reported NDTV.
Constant touch with the top BJP leadership has been maintained by former Lok Janshakti Party president Chirag Paswan. Before coming to Bihar last evening, a meeting of party workers was held by him and discussions took place with the top BJP leadership.
The scheduled trip to late Karpoori Thakur's village in Samastipur and to Sitamarhi, which was intended to be visited after paying obeisance at Ayodhya, has been cancelled, as mentioned by Chirag Paswan.
The Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), now headed by Chirag Paswan, emphasized its commitment as an NDA ally in Bihar. Watching the situation closely, particularly in the next two or three crucial days in the state, discussions in Delhi are planned, keeping Chirag Paswan in the loop by the BJP, the largest constituent of the alliance.
Regarding the possibility of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar becoming an alliance partner, Chirag Paswan dismissed such hypothetical questions, stating that there can be no end to such speculations. He also refuted baseless reports suggesting a switch to RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav if Nitish Kumar returns to the NDA, reported PTI.
Chirag Paswan's comments came amidst strong speculation that Nitish Kumar was considering rejoining the NDA. However, neither JD(U) nor the BJP has given a clear indication in this direction.
JD(U)'s political advisor and spokesperson KC Tyagi has asserted that the party sees itself as "the architect of INDIA" and wishes to remain a part of the coalition, despite concerns arising from developments in West Bengal and Punjab, reported PTI.
State BJP president Samrat Choudhary, after meeting Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi on Thursday, asserted that the discussions centered around Lok Sabha polls. He emphasized the party's stance that the doors of the BJP were closed, as stated by top leaders like Amit Shah and national president JP Nadda in public. Choudhary added, "Nitish Kumar, to us, is a politician who changes his allies like clothes."
