Bangalore: 17-year-old seminary student gangraped by three

Joint Commissioner of Police KV Sarat Chandra said,"According to a complaint filed by the victim on Thursday, the incident happened yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon when the three accused had barged into the Sisters of Holy Nativity premises at Hennur and forcibly entered her room. After sexually assaulting her, they escaped, leaving the victim unconscious."
He further added,"The victim has been admitted to St John's Hospital for check-up. We have registered a case of sexually assault against the accused under section 376 of the IPC (Indian Penal Code) and investigation is on."
A massive hunt is on to trace the accused. Ironically, the police stood mute to a similar incident when a 6 year old student of Class 1 was gangraped by two of her teachers-a gym instructor and a dance teacher within the premises of a well-known school in Bangalore.
Police registered a case under section 376 of the IPC against the accused and detained them for interrogation after the victim's parents lodged a complaint July 14 in the local police station.
