Ayodhya Temple Inauguration: Banke Bihari Sent Ornaments, Flute, Attar and Toys For Lord Ram

The rituals associated with the Ram Temple's inauguration is going to begin today.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will preside over the ceremony in Ayodhya, accompanied by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat. Numerous other dignitaries will also be in attendance.

On Monday, a group of priests from Banke Bihari temple gifted a silver flute, conch studded with precious stones and ornaments to Acharya Satyendra Das, head priest in Ram temple.

"Since Lord Ram is in child form at the Ram Lalla temple in Ayodhya and Lord Krishna, too, is worshipped in the form of a child at Mathura, it is befitting that objects associated with Lord Krishna's childhood get to adorn the temple in Ayodhya," said Gopi Goswami, a senior priest at Banke Bihari temple.

In addition to these gifts, special 'attar'(perfume) made of saffron and herbal essence, toys and utensils made of silver, and different kinds of sweets will also be delivered in Ayodhya.

Mayank Goswami, a temple priest at Banke Bihari said, "Each of the items has a link with Lord Krishna's childhood 'leelas' and will be an added feature of the ceremony to welcome Ram Lalla at his grand temple in Ayodhya."

On Monday, on the occasion of Makar Sankranti, 1,100 kg of laddoos were sent by the Shri Krishna Janmasthan temple management to Ayodhya.

"The Ram Temple consecration will be grandly celebrated at Banke Bihari temple. The temple complex will be adorned with flowers and lights during the seven-day celebrations starting from Tuesday. Devotional performances by artists, special prayers and 'prasad' such as 'kheer' and 'halwa' will be available for devotees," said the manager of Banke Bihari temple, Munish Kumar Sharma.
