Authorities Fear I Might Attend Khanda's Funeral: Amritpal Singh's Wife After Stopped From Boarding Flight
Kirandeep Kaur, Khalistani radical Amritpal Singh, has said that the government stopped her from boarding the UK flight assuming that she might be attending the funeral of Avtar Singh Khanda, a separatist leader who died in June.
"The authorities fear that I might be going to attend the funeral of Avtar Singh Khanda. I do not even know when and where the funeral is taking place. They have been assuming that I will give a speech there and create a movement. I have rights to visit my family and my trip would've been for a week or two. I do not intend on staying there for long as my husband is my priority," she said.

She was stopped from boarding a flight to Birmingham at 1.25 pm from the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi. Earlier, she was not allowed to board the flight on April 20.
Kaur stated that her parents reside there and wanted to meet them. However, she was informed that there was a lookout circular issued against her.
UK-based chief of the Khalistan Liberation Force (KLF), Avtar Singh Khanda, who was the mastermind behind the violent incident at the Indian High Commission in London on March 19, passed away at Sandwell Hospital in Birmingham. He was aged 35.
Recently, Kirandeep Kaur was spotted at Dibrugarh Central Jail, where her husband is currently lodged. Authorities have raised suspicions that she may have passed on information to Amritpal during her visit.
Kaur, a UK-based non-resident Indian, tied the knot with Amritpal Singh on February 10 at Jallupur Khera, his native village in Amritsar.
