Army Officers Attacked, Woman Gang-Raped Near Indore Picnic Spot
In a harrowing incident, two young army officers were brutally attacked by armed assailants who also gang-raped their female companion. The attack occurred on Tuesday evening near Jam Gate in Indore district, Madhya Pradesh.
The victims, who are undergoing training at Mhow Army College, had ventured out with their female friend near the firing range at Chhoti Jam in the afternoon. They were reportedly surrounded by eight men wielding pistols, knives, and sticks. The miscreants assaulted the officers and women, stole their belongings, and then took one officer and one woman hostage while demanding a ransom of Rs 10 lakh.

In a state of panic, the officer returned to his unit and alerted his commanding officer, who quickly notified the police. Officers from Dial-100 and military personnel rushed to the scene, but the attackers fled upon seeing the approaching vehicles.
The victims were taken to Mhow Civil Hospital for medical examination around 6:30 am. Medical reports confirmed that one of the women had been raped. Both officers sustained injuries.
Authorities have arrested two suspects in connection with the incident. One of the arrested individuals has a previous criminal record. The attackers, who initially intended to commit robbery, violently assaulted the officers and raped one of the women.
A case has been filed under relevant sections pertaining to robbery, dacoity, rape, and the Arms Act, according to Indore Rural SP Hitika Vasal. A manhunt is underway for the remaining suspects. The Times of India reported that the case has been registered under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Arms Act.
It comes just days after a woman was raped on a footpath and the incident was caught recorded by a passerby. The accused and the man who recorded the incident has been arrested by the MP cops.
