Andhra Pradesh: TDP-JSP's Flagship ‘Kalalaku Rekkalu' Scheme, What Is This All About

Hyderabad: TDP Leader and Politburo Member Anitha Vangalapudi upheld the launch of the "Kalalaku Rekkalu" program, launched under the collaborative efforts of the TDP-JSP. The scheme is aimed at facilitating higher education opportunities for women. She expressed gratitude to TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu and JSP chief Pawan Kalyan for pioneering this initiative, which seeks to alleviate financial barriers hindering female students' pursuit of advanced studies post-intermediate education.

Vangalapudi brought a scathing attack on the YSRCP-led administration, highlighting its failure to uphold women's rights and welfare. Vangalapudi underscored the enduring tradition of women's reverence within the TDP, dating back to the glorious narratives and perpetuated under the leadership of luminaries like N.T. Rama Rao and Chandrababu Naidu.

However, Vangalapudi lamented the stark contrast in the YSRCP's approach, citing a dearth of support for women's education and welfare under Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy's tenure. She criticized the administration's failure to deliver on promises, including pension provisions for impoverished communities and robust measures to combat violence against women.

Vangalapudi raised concerns over bureaucratic hurdles imposed by the YSRCP, such as the recurrent demand for caste certificates and coercive attendance at multiple meetings, which exacerbate the challenges faced by beneficiaries of welfare programs. She called for greater accountability and action to address the prevalence of violence against women and questioned the transparency of government spending, particularly scrutinizing lavish expenditures on projects like the Rushikonda buildings.

Highlighting TDP-JSP's commitment to women empowerment, TDP National Spokesperson Prof. Jyothsna Tirunagari said, "For every girl who has passed her 12th standard, they can take a loan for their professional courses; and the coming TDP-JSP government will be the guarantor for the same until the course is completed."

She also highlighted the registration process listed on the website https://kalalakurekkalu.com/. The applicant first has to fill out the application form. after which a guarantee certificate for an interest-free loan would be provided. One has to save their registration certificate and the same could be used to approach any bank for obtaining a loan for a professional course.
