Amarnath Yatra 2024 Registration: Step-By-Step Guide To Register Online For Annual Pilgrimage!
The Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) has announced that the annual pilgrimage to the 3,880-meter-high Amarnath shrine in the south Kashmir Himalayas will take place from June 29 to August 19, 2024.

Registration for the 52-day yatra commenced on April 15, with pilgrims able to register at 446 branches of the Punjab National Bank, Jammu and Kashmir Bank, and YES Bank.
Here's a step-by-step guide for the registration process:
- Registration and issuance of the Yatra Permit (YP) are on a first-come, first-served basis, with one permit valid for one person only.
- Pilgrims must complete the registration process at designated bank branches using biometric eKYC authentication in real time.
- Interested travelers need to register with a valid Compulsory Health Certificate (CHC) from an authorized doctor, an Aadhar Card, or a government-issued valid identity card.
- Registered travelers must obtain a radio frequency identification (RFID) card from authorized centers in the Jammu and Kashmir divisions before starting their journey. No traveler will be allowed to enter through the entrance control gate at Domel/Chandanwadi without a valid RFID card.
- Each bank branch has been assigned a specific number of licenses to issue for each day and route, ensuring that the daily and route limits are not exceeded.
- Each route allows 7,500 pilgrims to attend the Yatra, with a total of 15,000 pilgrims permitted daily, including those traveling on foot and by helicopter.
- Registration at the bank is typically available from 3 PM to 6 PM, although you should confirm the timings.
- Fill in the prescribed application form and submit all required documents, including the CHC and four passport-size photographs.
- After verification, you will receive a Yatra permit.
- The registration fee for Yatra 2024 is Rs 150 per person.
