Crowds Rally Behind the Campaign
Along the entire route, young people, lawyers, women and elderly citizens expressed strong support. Flower showers were held at several places and people joined the march while raising slogans of "rozgar do- samajik nyay do." Under the leadership of Sanjay Singh, the march is quickly turning into a larger public movement.
The 13 day march will cover around 200 km from Ayodhya to Prayagraj via Sultanpur and Amethi.
Aim is Jobs for Youth and an End to Discrimination
Sanjay Singh said the march seeks to secure rights for Dalits, backward communities, the oppressed and the marginalised, while demanding jobs for young people. He said caste bias, inequality and corruption have made life extremely difficult for the poor and the youth in Uttar Pradesh.
He said, "Ramrajya will be achieved only when every person gets equal opportunity and every hand gets work. Without employment and justice, society cannot progress."
Attack on Unemployment and Exam Scams
Sanjay Singh said young people in the state are struggling under the weight of unemployment. Frequent paper leaks in recruitment exams and serious irregularities in the selection process have shattered their future. He said the government only makes announcements but shows no intention of creating jobs.
He pointed out the massive gap between sanctioned posts and vacancies in major departments. The Education Department has more than 5 lakh sanctioned posts, but over 2 lakh remain empty. The Health and Medical Department has around 1.5 lakh sanctioned posts, yet nearly 50 thousand positions are vacant. The Police and Security Department has about 4 lakh sanctioned posts, but more than 1 lakh are unfilled. He said this is why the Aam Aadmi Party has taken the fight for young people onto the streets.
Government Accused of Suppressing Dalits and Backward Communities
Sanjay Singh said incidents of discrimination and violence against Dalits and backward groups are being reported almost every day in Uttar Pradesh. Issues such as tampering with reservation and biased behaviour in police stations have become common. He said democracy cannot be strong until the last person in society gets justice.
He added, "The aim of the Aam Aadmi Party is to ensure equal opportunity and dignity for every poor citizen, every Dalit and every young person. That is the real meaning of development."
Youth Struggle Reaches a Crucial Phase
According to Sanjay Singh, the youth of Uttar Pradesh are no longer willing to remain silent. He said this foot march marks the beginning of their fight for employment and respect. He added that public support for AAP is growing because people believe the party truly represents their voice.
Punjab Win Boosts the Party's Morale
On the Aam Aadmi Party's victory in the Taran Taran bypoll in Punjab, Sanjay Singh said the result reflects the success of Arvind Kejriwal's honest politics and Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann's pro people governance.
He said, "The win in Taran Taran has shown that people now want development, education and employment, and this is the path the Aam Aadmi Party stands for."
He added that the march in Uttar Pradesh is driven by the same vision, saying, "The people's struggle will be fought together with the people."
Local AAP leaders including former state president Sabhajeet Singh and Panchayat Cell vice president Manoj Mishra organised welcome events for MP Sanjay Singh at several locations along the route.
