2 yrs on, Modi government still has the support of 62% of population
New Delhi, May 26: Various people have varied takes on the functioning of the Modi government. However, the majority still believe that the Modi government has done a good job. 47% of the respondents in a survey said that Modi had the potential to to be a very strong leader but is crippled by the people working around him. Just over half felt that that the Modi wave had fizzled out since 2014, but th erest felt that it had become stronger.
While people congratulate the government for its Swachh Bharat campaign, Beti Bachai Beti Padhao campaign, people are not satisfied with him for his blackmoney promise. Some also criticize his confrontationist attitude towards the opposition.
The government was perceived by just over a quarter of the respondents as having reduced corruption. About 40 per cent said it had made no difference and 23% felt corruption had in fact worsened.
