Telangana Govt Declares Half-Day For Urdu Medium Schools During Ramzan 2025
The Telangana government announced on Saturday that Urdu medium schools, Urdu medium sections within parallel medium schools, and Urdu medium sections of DIETs in the state will operate on half-day schedules throughout the month of Ramzan.
As per the official order, the revised school timings will be from 8:00 AM to 1:30 PM, effective from March 2 to April 1, 2025 (inclusive).

This decision was made following requests from teachers in Urdu medium institutions, who appealed for reduced school hours during Ramzan.
According to a press release, Mohammed Faheemuddin Qureshi, Vice-Chairman and President of TMREIS, advocated for the adjustment in school timings to allow both teachers and students more time for prayers.
