Stampede At Pushpa 2 Premiere In Hyderabad: Woman Dead, Kids Injured While Allu Arjun Watched Film

A tragic incident unfolded on Wednesday night at Sandhya Theatre, RTC Crossroads, Hyderabad, during the premiere of Allu Arjun's highly anticipated film Pushpa 2. The arrival of the star to greet fans sparked chaos, leading to a stampede that resulted in injuries and reports of a casualty.

Fans gathered in large numbers to witness the premiere and catch a glimpse of Allu Arjun. However, as the actor entered the venue, the crowd surged forward, creating a panic-stricken situation.

According to journalist Sumit Jha, a woman named Revathi, who came with her two sons aged 9 and 7, tragically lost her life in the stampede. Her children were injured and hospitalized. This claim, posted on X, remains unverified by authorities, as no official confirmation regarding fatalities has been issued.

The police, who were already stationed at the theatre, intervened by implementing mild lathicharges to control the unruly crowd. In the commotion, a woman and a boy fell and sustained injuries. The injured were promptly moved to a safe area, given first aid, and shifted to the hospital for further treatment.

The latest update claims that a child is safe and undergoing treatment at a private hospital. However, the woman's body has been sent to Gandhi Hospital for a post-mortem examination.

To prevent further unrest, the police sealed off the theatre, cordoned the area, and deployed additional personnel to maintain order. Despite the excitement surrounding the film, the incident has cast a shadow on the premiere event.

Looking at the video clips, there was a huge crowd around the theatre and the cops had a difficult time controlling the fans. Eventually, this led to the stampede.

Meanwhile, the movie has met with positive reviews from the premiere shows. Many influencers and fans who saw the film have lavishly praised the movie, which is reportedly releasing in over 12000 screens worldwide.

As per the viewers, Pushpa 2 has an engaging first half backed with elevation and mass scenes. However, emotionally it does not work to that extent. It is a decent entertainer.
