Game Changer Producer Dil Raju Under IT Scanner As Officials Raid On His Properties

The Income Tax Department carried out searches at multiple locations in Hyderabad linked to prominent Telugu film producer Dil Raju on Tuesday, sources confirmed.

The raids, reportedly aimed at investigating alleged tax evasion, also extended to properties associated with other film producers and individuals connected to the industry. I-T officials have been scrutinizing documents from Dil Raju's residence in Ujas Villas, Jubilee Hills, along with other locations, including the homes of his brother Sirish and daughter Hanshitha Reddy.

As of now, officials have not disclosed details of the documents seized. The raids have raised eyebrows, given Dil Raju's prominent role as Chairman of the Telangana Film Development Corporation (TFDC).

Who is Dil Raju?

Dil Raju recently produced the blockbuster Sankranthiki Vasthunnam, which crossed ₹100 crore worldwide, and the high-budget film Game Changer, starring Ram Charan, released during Sankranti. Additionally, he distributed the Balakrishna-starrer Daaku Maharaaj in select regions. His Game Changer has also done well at the Andhra and Telangana box office.

Velamakucha Venkata Ramana Reddy is a well-known producer in Tollywood. He owns the production company Sri Venkateswara Creations. He has successfully funded movies like Allu Arjun's Arya, Paragu and DJ: Duvvada Jagannadham, Siddharth's Bommarillu, Prabhas' Munna and Mr Perfect, Naga Chaitanya's Maro Charitra, Junior NTR's Brindavanam and Ramayya Vasthavayya, Ram Charan's Yevadu, Nani's Nenu Local, Mahesh Babu's Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu and Maharishi, and Pawan Kalyan's Vakeel Saab among others.

As his profile indicates, he has worked with almost all the stars of current generation of Telugu actors.
