Fact Check: This Opinion Poll For Telangana Assembly Predicting Victory For Congress Is Fake
As Telangana is ready to vote on Thursday, a photo of 'Poll of Polls' claiming to be published by NDTV went viral on social media sites.
What's In The Photo?

A user on Facebook shared a picture and wrote, "Most *Opinion Polls* are predicting that in Telangana, BRS is staring at their biggest defeat due to huge anti-incumbency against KCR govt. Today, the NDTV Poll of Polls Tracker predicted a historic win for..."
It looks like the Facebook account was trying to spread false news about the Congress coming to power in Telangana. The 'Poll of Polls' is nothing but a summary of various opinion polls giving a clear idea to people about the number of seats each party wins in an election.
In this case, the fake message, on average, had given over 60+ seats for Congress except for the BRS Internal Survey report.
Notably, Congress leader Supriya Shrinate shared the same information on her Facebook page.
Ironically, the 'Poll of Polls' or exit polls can be out only after the voting ends on Thursday evening. Notably, it is against the Model Code of Conduct to release until the polling ends on November 30.
Meanwhile, the fake report has been shot down by NDTV itself. On its X account, NDTV has not carried any 'Poll of Polls' for the Telangana Assembly.
