Did Salman Khan Carry Pistol To Polling Booth? Truth Behind The Viral Pic
Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has found himself in the spotlight yet again, but this time for a different reason.
Following the assassination of NCP leader Baba Siddiqui and threats from gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, Salman's security has been significantly beefed up. Amid this heightened security, a viral image of the actor allegedly carrying a pistol at a polling station has set social media abuzz.

The picture in question, widely circulated online, shows Salman dressed in a grey t-shirt, jeans, and a black cap as he enters a polling station in Mumbai. A Facebook user shared the image with a caption reading, "HOT HOT| I am not afraid of Lawrence! Salman Khan arrives to cast his vote amid tight security after warning."
This claim, however, is false. Investigations and available footage debunk the notion that Salman carried a pistol. Videos circulating on YouTube show the actor stepping out of his car and heading toward the polling booth. He is seen empty-handed and accompanied by a heavy security detail.
Moreover, Election Commission rules strictly prohibit voters from carrying mobile phones, firearms, or any such items inside polling stations. All individuals are thoroughly checked before entering, ensuring adherence to these regulations.
The viral image seems to be a case of misrepresentation, with no credible evidence suggesting Salman Khan breached any polling norms.
Meanwhile, on the political front, the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance has secured a landslide victory in the Maharashtra Assembly elections. Trends show the BJP leading in 233 seats, with Eknath Shinde's Shiv Sena ahead in 133 and Ajit Pawar's NCP in 40. The NDA is leading in 230 seats in the 288-member assembly.
