Tiger 3: Bhaijaan Saves Pakistan And Democracy But Movie Lacks Creativity And Imagination

"Jab tak Tiger maraa nahin, tab tak Tiger haara nahin", and the audience go crazy as their favorite bhaijaan delivers this dialogue. Tiger 3 had a nice buildup, thanks to the sophisticated action stunts but the storyline was boring and much predictable. Indian audiences, especially the urban ones have evolved with time, thanks to OTT services, so maybe it is time to review the age-old cinema tactics that directors have been using to charm the audience.

Salman Khan is undoubtedly a superstar, but being in the spotlight brings with it the high expectations of millions of fans who eagerly anticipate seeing their beloved star showcase versatility. Unfortunately, "Tiger 3" fell short in this regard. The movie followed a familiar formula where Tiger engages in high-octane action, defies the laws of physics with gravity-defying stunts, delivers some memorable dialogues, and eventually stars another superstar, Shah Rukh Khan in a cameo appearance.

Katrina Kaif's action sequence is worth watching, especially in the spa with the Chinese superwoman but otherwise fails to appeal to the audience. What is also questionable is her looks, which are poles apart compared with her earlier films. While beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder, the Katrina that had stolen the show in movies like Namaste London, Tiger Zinda Hai and others, somehow failed to impress visually in Tiger 3.

Emraan Hashmi, renowned for his onscreen romantic sequences, surprised everyone with his exceptional portrayal of a villain, giving formidable competition to iconic villains like Mogambo. Hashmi's character, with his long hair, was a perfect fit, and his deep-seated animosity towards Tiger was evident throughout the entire movie. Another noteworthy character was Hassan, whom Tiger rescued in Ikrit during "Tiger Zinda Hai." Vishal Jethwa shows great promise and displays significant potential in his performance.

The overarching message conveyed by the film is that if Pakistan embraces democracy and reaches out for peace, India may be willing to extend its support. The love story between Zoya, a Pakistani agent, and Avinash, also known as Tiger, an Indian agent, symbolizes the possibility of both nations striving for a harmonious relationship.

This comes at a time when the world is on the cusp of a possible World War. Starting from Russia-Ukraine to Israel-Palestine, countries invading other countries, millions of people dying and the atrocities by militants have impacted everyone in one or the other way. The entertainment industry especially in India has tried to showcase this since Indian independence.

Tiger 3 sends a message that most countries can live peacefully if their leaders choose to amend a few policies and keep them transparent. The problem is that the execution of the current scenario may not be successful due to some limited resources. Money or manpower is not a resource here. It is primarily the thought process of the people making a film who still may have assumed that the Indian audience has not evolved at all.

Salman Khan's "Tiger 3" has made a significant impact at the box office right from its opening day. Despite falling on Laxmi Puja day, a traditionally slow day at the box office due to Diwali celebrations, the action-packed film starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif posted impressive numbers. According to YRF, the film's all-India box office collection reached Rs 52.50 crore GBOC, with an additional Rs 41.50 crore GBOC from overseas markets. As a result, the movie has amassed a total worldwide collection of Rs 94 crore.

Notably, "Tiger 3" has set a new record for the highest-ever collections on Diwali day for any Hindi film. The previous record was held by the combined collections of Shah Rukh Khan's "Jab Tak Hai Jaan" (Rs 12.60 crore on its first day) and Ajay Devgn's "Son Of Sardaar" (Rs 9.30 crore on its first day), which clashed at the box office in 2012 and had an aggregated total of Rs 22 crore on Diwali day.

All in all, we need smarter films with fresh tactics and a somewhat practical approach for a movie to get viewers' attention. While the first day of Tiger 3 started with a bang, its box office collection dropped the very next day despite Salman's huge fan following. The stake is high so deliverables are also expected to be better!
