The trailer of Kamal Haasan and Silambarasan's upcoming Tamil movie Thug Life has been released on Saturday and met with a great response.

What has become the talking point in the trailer is the liplock scene shown in the trailer. Well, a section of netizens felt that it was a scene between Kamal and Trisha.

However, the truth is that the kiss scene has been shot between Kamal Haasan and Abhirami, who play husband and wife in the movie. For the unversed, Abhirami was a popular name in 2000s, where she worked in a couple of Tamil and Malayalam movies.

Her notable movies are: Sradha (2000), Middle Class Madhavan (2001), Charlie Chaplin (2002), Raktha Kanneeru (2003) and Virumaandi (2004).

However, this particular kiss scene has evoked a mixed response.

One user commented, "Doing such scenes for his age with heroines who were almost half his age is not at all normal and usual." However, another used defended the scene and said, "This s the problem with us .. taking and focusing on kiss scenes and intimate scenes out of entire trailer .... it seems normal nd usual .. stop giving too much focus."

The third user took a neutral stand saying: "On screen la how they look and if both actors r comfortable and picturized well nothing wrong ... lot of movies has kiss scenes on the flow without stuffing ... even Leo had it beautifully within the story withe emotion."

The Thug Life trailer teases an intense and gripping drama centered around a father-son dynamic, with Kamal Haasan donning a striking new look and pulling off sleek, ninja-style action sequences. His face off scenes with Simbu have come out with. Going by the video, the story of the movie is about the battle for power and pride between senior gangster and his soon to be successor.

The Tamil film will hit the screens on June 5.
