Tanushree Dutta Makes Disturbing Claims Linking Her Harassment to Sushant Singh Rajput's Death

Bollywood actress Tanushree Dutta, who became a prominent figure in the #MeToo movement in 2018, has recently made startling claims. In an interview, she disclosed plans to collaborate with the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput on a film. She believes there is a significant link between his death and the harassment she has endured. Tanushree shared her distressing experiences of harassment in Mumbai over the last five years, including threats from the underworld.

Tanushree Dutta Links Harassment to Rajput s Death

Tanushree's emotional turmoil was highlighted when a video of her crying went viral on social media. She described this as an "emotional explosion" due to prolonged harassment. She stated, "For the last five years, I have been constantly harassed. The security of my building was changed without my consent, the locks of my house were broken, and a maid was deliberately hired to put unknown substances in my food. This all started after the #MeToo movement."

According to NDTV, Tanushree was set to work with Sushant Singh Rajput in 2020. "It was a big opportunity for me. An A-lister was ready to work with me, which raised hopes for my career. But then he committed suicide. I think there is a deep connection between his death and the harassment I am facing. Our stories are not entirely different." Sushant's death on June 14, 2020, in Mumbai was ruled as suicide but left many questions unanswered.

During a spiritual trip to Ujjain, Tanushree faced another life-threatening incident when her autorickshaw's brakes were tampered with. She believes this was an attempt on her life. She made serious allegations, stating, "I am being mentally broken to such an extent that either I will commit suicide like Sushant Singh Rajput or I will end up on the verge of madness like Pooja Mishra."

Tanushree revisited her accusations against actor Nana Patekar from the #MeToo movement in 2018. She claimed that her troubles escalated after questioning his foundation's activities. She alleged, "A contract of ₹5 crore was given to the underworld to finish me. Even if people like Dawood Ibrahim are not in the picture now, the underworld is still active in new and subtle forms. I am being constantly targeted."

Expressing disappointment with Mumbai police, Tanushree recounted her experience during the #MeToo movement. "I spent four to five hours in the police station, gave a detailed statement, but no action was taken. In Maharashtra, those who harass are protected by politicians. Therefore, I have more faith in the media than the police." She has been documenting incidents over five years and plans to present them to authorities soon.

Faith in Media Over Police

Tanushree shared on Instagram that she is unwell amid media attention. "I have been living a peaceful and spiritual life for the last few years. It is difficult for me to get so much attention suddenly. I will talk to everyone gradually, just have a little patience." Her story highlights issues like harassment in Bollywood and abuse of power.

Tanushree Dutta's narrative is one of courage and questions about systemic challenges and powerful forces. Her claims about her unfulfilled project with Sushant Singh Rajput add mystery to this case. Whether she will find answers or if these revelations will fade into obscurity remains uncertain.
