'Super Singer' 10 Winner: Kallakurichi Boy John Jerome Bags The Trophy

John Jerome, hailing from the Kallakurichi district, emerged victorious in the 'Super Singer' Season 10 grand finale, with Jeevitha as the runner-up in Vijay TV's hit reality show.

Five contestants-John Jerome, Vignesh, Jeevitha, Vaishnavi, and Sreenidhi Ramakrishnan- vied for the trophy, but Jerome ultimately triumphed. Vaishnavi secured third place, while Vignesh and Sreenidhi did not make it to the top three.

The winner received a 60-lakh apartment, while the runner-up was awarded a 10-lakh cash prize along with other prizes.

Jerome's victory comes at a poignant time for Kallakuruchi, which has been grappling with the aftermath of a hooch tragedy resulting in 56 deaths.

John Jerome has won the hearts of millions with his captivating voice and soulful performances on the popular reality show Super Singer Season 10 in 2024.

Son of a singer in a local orchestra, his journey from humble beginnings to becoming one of the top finalists has been nothing short of inspiring. His success can be attributed to his father's encouragement to follow his dreams. The 19-year-old is currently pursuing a B.Com degree.

The major auditions for the tenth season of 'Super Singer' took place on September 26, 2023, in major cities across Tamil Nadu. The season was launched in December 2023, beginning with mega auditions featuring 25 contestants-11 male and 14 female-who were shortlisted and deemed eligible by the four main judges.

Ma Ka Pa Anand and Priyanka Deshpande returned as hosts for this season. The judging panel included music composer Sean Roldan and three playback singers: Anuradha Sriram, Mano, and Sujatha Mohan.

Anuradha Sriram has been a judge since 'Super Singer' Season 1. Mano and Sujatha Mohan joined the judging panel permanently in Season 4. Sean Roldan is the newest addition to the 'Super Singer' judging team.
